The rules
Privacy
We do not collect anything about you. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking script. The only things stored on your device are the two preferences you set yourself and the converter’s own settings.
What the converter remembers
The converter keeps your settings in your own browser, under the key positiveRate.logbook. That is the rate you picked, the unit you prefer and the callsign you typed, so you do not have to set them again. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it.
Clearing your browser storage deletes it. There is no copy anywhere else, so there is nothing for us to restore.
The two cookies
The site sets two cookies, and neither of them tracks you. They exist so the site does not forget which language and which currency you asked for.
Both are strictly necessary functional cookies under UK and EU rules, which is why there is no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to. Neither contains an identifier, a timestamp, a location or anything at all beyond the literal values below.
| Cookie | Value | Life | What it is for |
|---|---|---|---|
pr_lang | en or cs | One year | Remembers whether you asked for English or Czech, so you are not sent back to the wrong one on your next visit. |
pr_cur | CZK, EUR or USD | One year | Remembers which currency you want amounts shown in. It changes nothing except the figures on the screen. |
Deleting them in your browser settings removes them. The site works exactly the same without them; it just guesses again on your next visit.
Donations
We never handle money. When you give to a cause you leave this site and deal with that organisation directly, under their privacy policy, not ours.
Links off the site
Strava, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and every cause we list are run by other people. What they collect is their business and their policy, and you should read it if it matters to you.
The club logbook
The figures on the club logbook come from the Strava club feed, read by a scheduled job and written into this site when it is built. No Strava call ever happens in your browser, and no token ever reaches the built site.
The feed gives a first name, a last initial and the numbers. Nothing else, and nothing that identifies anybody.
The hero video
The clip behind the first screen is served from this site, has no audio track and sets nothing on your device. On a narrow screen, or if you have asked your system for reduced motion, it is never requested at all.
Hosting
The site is a set of static files. The host that serves them keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site up. We do not use them for anything else.
